We are so grateful to have you with us, Junie Soe for the #IAmRemarkable workshop over the weekend! All of us were in Junie's good hands and in a safe space to share our journey and achievements with everyone in the session. For those who have missed this awesome session, here are two practical tips to take ownership of your career and personal growth!▪ We should ALWAYS be our own cheerleaders and self-advocate for our achievements! (No matter how big or small)▪ It is NOT bragging if it is based on facts! You should not feel like you are bragging if your accomplishments are based on facts!#growth #OverseasBurmese

Greetings from Slovenia!I am glad to share my incredible experience as part of theEuropean Solidarity Corpsvolunteering camp at Mladinski Center Idrija. 🌿🌏Let me share with you few things I have found worth writing about this experience! 🤝Unity in Diversity:Eleven passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds have converged here, each bringing their unique perspectives and talents. Together, we’re weaving a tapestry of collaboration, learning, and growth. 🔨Hands-On Learning:From dismantling pallets to crafting furniture, we’ve immersed ourselves in practical projects. The buzz of power tools, the smell of freshly cut wood—it’s more than just carpentry; it’s a symphony of shared knowledge. 🛠️🌱Intellectual Exploration:Beyond the physical work, we’ve engaged in stimulating discussions. The concept ofsolidarityhas transcended borders, enriching our understanding of global challenges and solutions. 🌐🌟Enriching Character and Network:This experience isn’t just about hammering nails or planting flowers; it’s about forging lasting connections. I’ve met incredible people, learned about their cultures, and expanded my network. 🤝🔍Looking Ahead:As I gaze at the sun-kissed terrace we’re revitalizing, I can’t help but think of the future. These moments will shape my perspective, fuel my passion for community service, and inspire me to seek out similar opportunities. 🌅#Solidarity #Volunteering #LifeExperience #GlobalCommunity #MladinskiCenterIdrijahttps://lnkd.in/dsxCFDeP

At least three rather unprecedented violent incidents of protest including an explosion, a fire and a deliberate car crash outside the Communist Party leadership compound have been reported during China's weeklong annual gathering of its rubber stamp legislature the National People's Congress (which ended yesterday) in a sign of growing grassroots discontent with the Xi Jinping dictatorship. The first incident was on the night of 9 March when somebody deliberately ploughed a car into the gateway of Zhongnanhai, the leadership compound alongside Tiananmen Square, opposite the Great Hall of the People where the congress was underway. The Zhongnanhai compound was originally part of the the Forbidden City imperial palace and became a public park after the collapse of the dynasty, but was expropriated from public use by the Communist Party when it seized power in 1949. The man who drove the car shouted "Communist Party murderers" and was quickly yanked out of the vehicle by police who dragged him away from the scene. Now, a second incident has been reported further south, in Nanjing, former capital of the first Chinese republic which the Communists toppled, and a third in the Yangtze river port of Zhangjiagang. In my view, it is highly likely there were not only three such incidents. Chinese seem to be realising that singular unannounced protests are the best way to vent their anger. Planned, organised, pre-announced, group protests are likely to be nipped in the bud and prevented before they can happen. RFI cited reports that an explosion occurred in the Zhangjiagang Municipal Government Building in Jiangsu Province on the morning of March 7. The entrance was seriously damaged. Afterwards, some protesters shouted that 'we have committed a crime' and demanded that corrupt officials be punished. They also shouted defiantly that they were waiting for the police to come and arrest them. On the afternoon of the same day the Jiangsu Province Public Security (police) headquarters building in Nanjing suddenly caught fire and billowed thick smoke. Citizen reports of these incidents are now blocked on the Chinese Internet but they initially attracted the attention of many Chinese people, says RFI. These were the first such reported public protests reported since the so-called Sitong Bridge incident" which occurred on the eve of the 20th Chinese Communist Party Congress in October 2022 when a lone man unfurled anti-Xi banners on a pedestrian bridge across one of Beijing's busiest highways. Unlike the latest incidents, that one was non-violent.It seems the ground is starting to rumble under Xi's feet.
