BARABOO, Wis. (CBS 58) --- Video of a Wisconsin parent interrupting his daughter's high school graduation ceremony is going viral online.

It's been reposted on several social media blogs and is making its rounds nationally. The incident happened during Baraboo High School's graduation ceremony on May 31.

In the video, you can see a man storm the graduation stage and grab another man before the next graduate approached to shake his hand.

The man who stormed the stage was the parent of the next graduate and the man who was pushed aside was the district superintendent, Rainey Briggs.

In the video, you can hear Briggs yell, "get away from me." Another voice can be heard yelling, "I don't want her touching him." It's unclear what prompted the altercation, but Briggs has filed for a restraining order against the parent and disorderly conduct charges have been referred to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office. The man was escorted out of the graduation ceremony by police.

The Baraboo School District released the following statement:

"Our primary focus remains on celebrating the achievements of our graduates," the district said in the statement. "We want to ensure that the significance of this milestone and the hard work of our students are not overshadowed by this unfortunate event. The evening celebrated their accomplishments, and we are incredibly proud of each of them."

The incident remains under investigation.
